Love Yourself

20727728_844558492387669_649836896_oI teach my clients that real change can only come from a place of love, and that we exercise and eat healthy not because we hate our bodies, but because we love them. ❤️ We don’t want to take care of the things we hate. When we love something, we want what’s best for it.

What does that mean to me?

I am created in the image of God. 1 Corinthians 6:20 and Romans 12:1 say that our bodies are a living sacrifice for worship. Y’all! Making healthy choices every day is a form of worship!  Moving our bodies, drinking water, eating the foods that nourish and getting sleep may seem selfish or vain, but taking care of our temple is true and proper worship.

That doesn’t mean that I’m not sometimes selfish and very often vain.  But knowing that God Himself gave me this body, lives inside it and wants me to take care of it as an act of worship is why I come from a place of LOVE instead of hate.
